It was fun throwing shot and discus at the highschool, but Alex and Calvin got bored and and started a game of chase. Calvin ran across the top of the bleachers and failed to notice a gap in the benches in his haste to out-fox Alex. He dropped into the gap and got knocked back and forth between the metal benches before landing on his head on the cement. We were amazed he was not knocked unconscious and grateful he didn't break his neck. He ended up with 9 staples in the back of his head, a cut under his chin (which they glued), lacerations on his stomach and bruises on both legs. We waited 4 hours in the ER before being seen. Here's Calvin after we got out late at night to catch the tail end of Jefferson's b-day. His primary concern was that if there was any cake left. There was. :) All's well that ends well.
