Scout Camp Out at Miller Lake
Jeff and "Uncle Mark" (he's in our bishopric now) took four of our boys and two other Scouts on a camp out this weekend to Miller Lake and they had an absolute roughing-it blast. They hiked a mile to the lake then set up camp as soon as they could. It was FREEZING (literally, you can see the snow in some of the pictures) so they gathered wood and made a big fire right away. They made foil dinners and read scriptures around the campfire and had a wonderful time. It was great "male bonding". Fortunately, they only saw bear tracks and bobcat TRACKS.
The Day the Bulldozer Came
The other day I looked out in the back yard and the boys (plus cousins Levi and Stephan) were lined up on the wall watching a huge CAT digging away! I guess they were working on power lines, but it couldn't have been better entertainment for these little boys! They sat transfixed the entire time.
Seable Sculpture
My father made these two sculptures and I thought I'd put them on my blog. I'm going to start taking pictures of some of his artwork to share. This first one is called "The Accuser". I love it. A picture says a thousand words.
This one is of Joseph Smith with both the Bible and the Book of Mormon in his hands. A sermon, in and of itself! A great visual for friends and loved ones.
