Scout Camp Out at Miller Lake




Jeff and "Uncle Mark" (he's in our bishopric now) took four of our boys and two other Scouts on a camp out this weekend to Miller Lake and they had an absolute roughing-it blast. They hiked a mile to the lake then set up camp as soon as they could. It was FREEZING (literally, you can see the snow in some of the pictures) so they gathered wood and made a big fire right away. They made foil dinners and read scriptures around the campfire and had a wonderful time. It was great "male bonding". Fortunately, they only saw bear tracks and bobcat TRACKS.

    Mark had a great time and loved the campout! But, I think we had an even better time sleeping in our warm cozy beds, don't you think?.....ahhhhh.

    Hahaha! Like you and Julie slept that night, anyway! :) But at least you didn't have an Eliza popsicle in the morning!
