Julie's Baptism Was Lovely

I just wanted to note this special occasion. I will blog this event later when people send me the pictures they took.

A Rare and Wonderful Summer Evening

All day long it had been hot and humid. Suddenly, it got overcast and windy, but still hot. It was very strange. And then......it was still. Hot, dark and still. Soon after, thunder and lightening began. The kids watched the lightening show with awe and excitement, and the the pelting rain began. As the winds started up we went back into the house, only to begin a fun candle lighting frenzy moments later when the power went out. The perfect ending to a memorable day.

We escaped the blazing heat and unusual humidity in our pools...

Jeff has always enjoyed throwing things.....

Little Parker enjoyed his own private pool while the other eight kids splashed it up in the big one. When asked if he wanted to be held in the bigger pool he said, "No, I'm not big enough. I have to eat and eat and get bigger."

The Big Boys Make a Homemade Tzunami

Jeff and the boys make the water surge up in the middle of the pool and it makes a slooshing peak! It's very fun for the little guys to ride on. Look how high Preston gets on his little duckie!

We got guinea pigs!

Julie's friend Becky came over for a play day. From time to time we have to import a female for Julie to play with (make up & nail polish, Barbies, Easy Bake Oven, etc.)

Tis the Season for Barbeques....

We had a huge turn out at our ward barbeque and the kids had a great time.

Charlie Gets His Fish!

Grandpa Seable took Charlie to the Fishing Derby and he got an award for catching his first fish!

Anthony bought 10 dozen donuts for a youth activity that he was in charge of at the church. Albertsons sells them for half price at the end of the day, so he got a good deal and he was very proud of the the fact that he provided his friends with such tasty treats. (He had to really protect them at home before the activity. Ha!) His scavenger hunt activity was a great success with a huge turnout, and he showed excellent leadership skills running the event.
