Clam Chowder by Candlelight

Christmas Eve starts with clam chowder by candle light, a birthday cake for Jesus, our"gifts" to Jesus, reenacting the nativity story (the wise men bring our gifts), candlelight carols and story, new pajamas, hanging up stockings, cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer, setting out the gifts from the children to each other and a slumber party in the boys "dorm".

Each year the children look forward to discovering the new member of the nutcracker patrol on Christmas morning.
